Hello, September. Happy you are here. Bringing some cooler weather? Football games? Pumpkins? Gee, I hope so. As we say good~bye to summer and open the door to welcome fall, I’m happy to be your hostess for this week’s Your Inspired Design Link Party #51. The temperature may not feel like fall, but everywhere I look, fall decorations and colors are on store shelves.

Thank you to those who linked up this week and shared your amazing projects, recipes, and thoughts. I know that I’ve been busy with some DIY projects, such as this one using supplies that I already had on hand.

Using craft supplies already on hand, such as Cricut Vinyl, ribbon, and glue, I made two practical and useful projects.

I hope all you readers had a chance to check out our party goers. Here are my favorites from the past week.

Before I share my favorites, for all of us here at YID, I’d like to say have a safe Labor Day weekend. This is the holiday that celebrates workers (which I think includes all of us), those whose efforts are the driving force that keeps our country going and prosperous, who day~in and day~out strive to provide for our families, children, and communities. Many people these days are not able to work as much as they would like or at the profession that they would prefer, but they still go out everyday and do the best they can. Hats off to everyone who rise everyday looking for a better life though hard work and effort.

And here are our favorites for the week.

I love this DIY project for making metallic book covers from The Savvy Apron. It adds such a classy and up~to~date look to any decor.

The Dedicated House shows us how to add beautiful blue accents to any home decor. The pop of blue a little bit here and there make such a difference.

If you are a DIYer who refinishes furniture, paints and repurposes, you’ll love the secret tip that The Red Painted Cottage shares. I sure wish that I’d known about this little trick several years ago when I started painting.
