Hi everyone and welcome back to another Your Inspired Design.  We are so glad you are here.

My favorite season is here but you really wouldn’t know it has arrived here in sunny Florida.  The fall leaves aren’t falling and the cool breezes aren’t blowing but Florida still joins in the Autumn spirit with pumpkin patches, hayrides and plenty of Fall decorations for the home in just about every store you enter.  You need to hurry though, have you seen all the Christmas home decor that seems to have popped up overnight?

Whether it is Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer Dean and I always have diy projects going on and this week I posted a tutorial on how to easily make your own vintage farmhouse wooden sign.  Our other upcoming posts are how to ship-lap an accent wall, creating a fire pit area and the building of a pergola and many more.  We hope you sign up on our blog for regular updates.

Let’s get on to this week’s wonderful features.  If you have ever wanted to know how to dry brush to get the weathered wood look, how to care for your indoor succulent plants or how to DIY a galvanized pumpkin you are going to love this.

This is a great technique to try if you are wanting to try something different when painting tables and chairs.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF INDOOR SUCCULENTS

Caring for indoor succulents can be a challenge, especially in the winter.  I am crushing on the display.  Succulents can be pricey so I am loving how the sparsity of the succulents actually appears to attract more focus.  It’s wall art!

HOW TO DIY A GALVANIZED PUMPKIN

I was just looking for a galvanized paint this week for my kitchen chairs.  It doesn’t exist.  At least, I didn’t find it.  For that industrial rustic look, this is a great tutorial for pumpkins and anything else you feel the need to galvanize.

Thank you to everyone who submitted their projects and if you didn’t get featured this week we encourage you to stop by next week.  It was difficult to choose between all the great submissions.  We are looking forward to your creations.

Let the party begin!   Add your favorite craft, recipe, tablescape or project below.  We love hearing from you all!

  1. Thanks so much for hosting a great party! You are so right, we are really ready for a break in the heat here in Florida, aren’t we. Alas, bring on the Fall decor one way or another!

  2. Thank you so much for the feature and most of all for hosting such a great party!

  3. Thank you for featuring my post on indoor succulents. Your comment is absolutely on par, even though I am considering maybe 2 or 3 more plants for the top shelf. Decisions, decisions!

Have a great week and ty for hosting 🙂
