MM Office redo #2

I know…It’s been a while.  But seriously, this has taken a lot of work.

And there was laundry to do…

And school projects…that my children had to do…ahem…

So it had to happen in stages.  There are still more stages to come, but we are 90% there.  And I’m about to burst if I don’t share it with you.

I’ll sit over here quietly while you look at the pictures…

So, King Louie approves <sighs with relief> and I think the rest of the family has enjoyed it as well.

MM Office #2 after

Mr. Creativity actually likes it.  Even without all of the orange.

What do you think?

Blessings,

Holly

Genius might be overstating it a bit…but I’ll take it anyway. ha Love you so much and I’m ready to see YOU in person!! Love you

Love it! Looks great!! Don’t let your family in there…or at least don’t let my family in there…I don’t want it to get messed up! Beautiful!

No joke. I don’t let them in without having them sign a waiver. If they break something it is deducted from their college fund. That’s fair, right?

It looks so AWESOME!!!! Now get up here and help me work some of that McCall magic in NC! I need you! Seriously, I have been working on my “art room” ever since you started your office (you inspired me to make it better) but mine does NOT look like that…(I’m pouting) You have definitely given me some ideas though–so thanks for being so creatively amazing! I miss you and hope we can see each other soon!?!?!

You are hysterical. Tell Jeff to just increase your decorating budget and you’ll finish in no time…

You may be planning a post on where everything came from but I am wondering about the shelf brackets…where are they from? I need me some of these in my little art space.

I really love the u shape of the desk. Hubby and I have been discussing a way to do that so he and I both can have desk area. I really love this office.

Thank you Tammy! This desk has been working beautifully for us so far! One of us can be at the computer and the kids can work on their homework.

Beautiful makeover! I love an organized office, but it has to be pretty too. And you’ve managed both! Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

  12. Thanks so much for linking up at the Lovely Ladies Linky. This is a gorgeous transformation. I love that desk. Did you make it or buy it somewhere (I’m selfishly hoping for the latter so I can snatch one up too). Beautiful work! I wanted to let you know that I’ll be featuring and pinning this tomorrow. Thanks again, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else you link up. 🙂

  13. LOVE this. So bright and cheerful, but still totally functional! I’m a smitten kitten with the layout too – I’m looking to change the layout in my own office, and I think yours is just the inspiration I’ve been looking for! Great job! New follower! 🙂

  14. Holly, this is gorgeous!! I absolutely LOVE it. And am scheduling it to pin right now! Come help me transform my office, pretty please! 🙂 {I’ll be including one fabulous desk pad when I do make it over. 😉 }

What a lovely office/craft room you’ve created for yourself. Love it all. Did you buy your desk/computer table or make it yourself? Love the shelving area and that picture on the wall makes one feel you could walk right down that path! We converted the smallest bedroom into a home office when we moved here in 2005 and DH has a very heavy, large solid cherry desk that even the professional movers complained about having to move. It has stayed in the one position for 9 years and recently I was able to lift one leg at a time but only 1/2 in. high to get a furniture glider under each leg to reposition the desk, giving me more room for my computer desk/chair..The room is stuffed with office furniture, way too much. That’s on my project list for 2014..

Hi Betty, We actually bought the cabinets that are on the left side of the desk from Ballard. The little bookcase that is at the end (I did a post on it) was from my husband’s great-grandmother. The top was made by a local carpenter, in my driveway! I gave him the dimensions and he went to work!
I would love to see your office redo! This has made a huge difference in our daily lives around here. Thanks for stopping by!

  17. This space is AWESOME! I could get so much work done in a space like this! Can’t wait to see that last 10%!

  18. I love your office! It is the perfect balance between pretty and functional. I love all the hidden storage and workspace. I will be pinning!
    Thank for the inspiration.

Thank you Tammy for your sweet comments! This office is now a main hang-out spot for our kids during the afternoon homework crunch. I’m loving that!
