Well, today is the last Monday my kids will be at school this year. Can I tell you how easy it was to get them up this morning?!? Seriously, all I had to say were those magic words and they bounded out of bed. Normally on a rainy day, it would be like “just 5 more minutes!!”. Not today. Even though we are surrounded by a tropical storm (I haven’t even bothered to learn her name) and the sun was barely peeking through the ginormous clouds that have gathered, they were bright eyed and bushy tailed at 7AM. The last few days of school are some of their favorites. I’m guessing their teachers feel the same way…
Our teachers are some of the best around and they deserve a million dollars for putting up with all of us throughout the year. But since I’m fresh out of that kind of cash, they’ll get a succulent in a mason jar with a cute tag (plus a gift card).
I chose the tiniest little succulents that Lowe’s had to offer and a squatty wide-mouth mason jar. Uh huh, it’s gonna be cute. You are feeling it, right?
Paint (2 coats), sand and seal the jar then use the lid ring to add a little oomph.
Sorry, I got a little carried away with the pics here. They are just a little bit of happy on this grey morning.
To make it an extra special teacher gift, I attached a tag. This printable comes to you from The Teacher Mama and is just too cute. Attach with bakers twine for a fresh spring look!
Here’s to all of the teachers that love on our littles. We love you and appreciate all that you do! Now, go and enjoy your summer, you deserve it. 🙂
