Do you plan on having a football watching party this coming weekend?
Or are you like us and have a big commercial-during-the-football-game-watching party?
I will never forget when we were first married and living in North Carolina. We got together with Mr. Creativity’s work friends to watch the big game. Since they all worked at an ad agency, there was a lot of talking and cutting up during the game but DEAD SILENCE during the commercials. Everyone was laser focused on the TV. No joke.
No one said a word. It was like being in a room full of monks.
Now, my favorite part of the whole big game weekend is the food. I’m all about some veggie trays, bite-sized candies, chips and dips. It is always fun to see what everyone brings to a party.
I thought I would share with you a few things that you could easily bring this weekend. This corn dip is as easy as opening some items and dumping them in the slow cooker. My favorite way to eat it is with Tostitos® Scoops so that you can get a ton of dip in each bite.
Yes, I realize that is a big bite, but that’s how I roll.
Don’t judge me.
Have you ever heard of a snackstadium? They are mini-stadiums made out of game day snacks like SNICKERS® minis, Skittles®, Diet Pepsi™, TOSTITOS® Scoops and TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa…yesss please! Want to see some examples of these glorious pieces of edible art as well as yummy recipe ideas? Click here then make you grocery list and head over to Walmart. You’ll find every snack you could possibly need and then some. 🙂
Well, now that you know what it is, you’ll be interested in the fact that there is a snack stadium competition going on and you can be a winner just by voting! Just login below and choose your favorite snack stadium design. Then you could win either an Xbox One or a $100 Walmart eGift card. And if you create your own snack stadium you can tag it in Instagram using the hashtag #gamedayglorysweepstakes. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this week! Then you can invite me over and we will devour the losing team in your stands. 😉
What ever your game day tradition is, just be sure to have fun with it! Stock up, cook your favorites and get ready to sit quietly during the commercials!
