Hey Y’all!

I was killing time in a local craft store yesterday and ran across this little gadget that makes pom poms.

“Hmmmmmmm” I thought to myself and myself said “Get it and run!” — we are always getting into trouble at that store.

So I sashayed up to the checkout counter with my 50% off coupon and a skein of thick fluffy yarn.

I was pretty proud of myself.

How easy is it you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. I have already blown through the skein of yarn that was as big as my head and made 34 pompoms. Not bad for a day when my truck battery died, we bought Halloween costumes and we took kids from one end of town to the other several times.

All in a day’s work I tell ya.

Now I have a big pile of pom poms and laying in my floor and need somewhere to put them. I have a few ideas for projects, but I thought I would make a little roundup of things on the WWW for you.

It seems the (crafting) world has gone pom pom cray cray too.

Check out these fun projects and see if you don’t feel the urge to go get some yarn and this handy gadget!

Well, what do you think?  Do you have pom pom fever too? Would you like a tute on how to use this little contraption? I will say, the directions that come on the package are severely lacking.  Let me know if you want to see it in action and I’ll whip up a tutorial for you.

Because you are the kind of people that get into trouble in craft stores too, aren’t you? 😉

  1. I love them! Does the gadget make more than one size or are there different size gadgets for that?

Looks like we have a couple of things in common – our names and a love of poms! 🙂 I recently did a few little projects using poms (and my FAVORITE pom maker!) – http://www.iwillservewhileiwait.blogspot.com/2015/02/friday-favorites-i-love-poms.html. What are you planning on making with all your fabulous poms?!

Hey Holly! I’m going to have to follow you based on your name alone. ha I have already made a wreath that I’m putting in the teacher workroom at school (I decorate the bulletin board in there for the seasons). I’m also thinking about adding them to a blanket–but I need a blanket first. Thanks for stopping by!!
