I have a problem.
It hasn’t been officially diagnosed.
But I’m pretty sure there are teams of doctors at the Mayo clinic discussing it right now.
It might have a name like chalk paint reflex. Or chalkitis. Not sure, but it is serious.
At JoAnn’s they had a wall full of pumpkins. There were sequined pumpkins, bedazzled pumpkins, furry pumpkins, sweater pumpkins, burlap with brocade design pumpkins and many other decorative pumpkins. AND THEY WERE ON SALE!
But I passed them all by to purchase these paper maché pumpkins.
A side effect of my illness is liking plainness – is that a word? I don’t want fancy stuff. It just doesn’t work for me.
So these shapes and were all that drew me in. I wondered about adding different treatments to these cuties, but in the end my CP Reflex took over.
I say all the time that if people sit too long in one spot at my house, they are probably going to get painted. I think my family is getting nervous.
I will say though, that this illness saves me a lot of time. Painting these took less than one episode of Gilligan’s Island one afternoon. So, that in and of itself might make me refuse treatment.
I will warn you, this disease is catching. I caught it from somewhere…
Do you suffer from this same illness? Do you want a cure? (I don’t…)
What do you think of my ‘boring’ painted pumpkins?
I’d love to hear from you!
